Ames Plant Director

Location: On-site in Ames, Iowa, United States. Travel may include up to 10% domestic travel. Relocation assistance is authorized.

Salary: $250,253–$305,864 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Lead employees producing products at the Ames manufacturing plant.
• Direct operational excellence across environment, health, safety, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, cost, and employee relations.
• Oversee environmental, health, safety, and security practices and regulatory compliance.
• Improve end-to-end supply chain performance and resolve customer inquiries.
• Develop strategic plans and budgets supporting continuous and sustainable improvement.
• Drive lean six sigma, disruptive technology, and employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of combined experience in quality, product, process, project engineering, or manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Plant Manager or equivalent experience in a complex organization is beneficial.
• Strong leadership experience and a history of leading high-performance teams.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience and certification.
• Experience in operational excellence, lean implementation, and financial accounting.
