Project Engineer (Food Processing)

Location: Valencia, Spain; flexible hybrid work with travel of up to 20% to customer sites and other TOMRA locations

What you will do

• Scope customer projects and develop cost estimates for bespoke solutions during quotation stages.
• Design factory layouts, machine peripherals, and project-specific components for food sorting and processing systems.
• Develop 3D concepts in SolidWorks and 2D plant layouts in AutoCAD.
• Create P&IDs, electrical connection lists, third-party integration interfaces, and technical documentation.
• Conduct site visits, measurements, risk assessments, and installation follow-up activities.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Project Management, Service, and Production teams through project delivery and commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in a design-related engineering role.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling, 2D technical drawing, and engineering documentation.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks and a valid driving license.
• Spanish and English language proficiency is required.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time and attend customer sites when required.
