What you will do

• Drive DFM/DFMA and provide manufacturing feasibility input from concept to design release.
• Lead innovation in steel manufacturing technologies, including roll forming, stamping, and automation.
• Execute prototype builds, supplier trials, and on-site validations to verify functional intent and critical dimensions.
• Lead technical value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives for steel products.
• Conduct supplier factory audits and manage manufacturing readiness deliverables including process flows and risk assessments.
• Manage engineering changes (ECR/DCO/ECO) within the PLM system and provide rapid technical escalation support for root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Metallurgical, Electrical, or Chemical).
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering for steel components in an OEM or contract manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of experience in design for manufacturing (DFM) and steel machinery/processes.
• 5+ years of experience serving large OEM customers in renewable energy, automotive, or industrial manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent) and working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma concepts.

Nice to have

• SSGB, PMP, or other industry certifications.
• Direct experience with domestic and offshore Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
