Student Engineering Intern - Water/Wastewater (Civil Engineering)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Salary: $21–$25 per hour, depending on education and experience, plus statutory insurance requirements.

What you will do

• Support planning, design, and construction activities for water and wastewater engineering projects.
• Contribute to projects for public agencies and municipalities.
• Work alongside civil engineering and environmental science staff.
• Apply engineering, mathematical, AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office skills to project tasks.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering with an interest in water and wastewater.
• Knowledge or experience with AutoCAD or similar software and/or GIS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and math skills.
• Ability to contribute effectively and work well on a team.
• Available to work full time, 40 hours per week, during the summer.
