Engineering Intern (Civil Engineering)

Location: Corona, California; project sites may be located in Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, and Los Angeles counties.

Salary: $20–$22 per hour

What you will do

• Support construction management, civil engineering, or estimating activities on a project site or within the Estimating Department.
• Support construction teams and communicate with coworkers, owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and prepare technical submittals, including schedules, shop drawings, and work plans.
• Monitor quality control, safety, and environmental programs while assisting with project layout.
• Identify critical work items, procure long-lead materials, and support material logistics.
• Assist with contract administration, budgets, change procedures, as-built drawings, manuals, and field problem resolution.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and time-management skills.
• Positive attitude, self-motivation, attention to detail, and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Ability to work in construction site environments involving standing, walking, crawling, bending, reaching, climbing, and exposure to high noise levels.
• Ability to work in an office environment and occasionally lift 5–20 pounds.
