Turbine Loads Modelling Trainee (Wind Energy)

What you will do

• Define and modify wind turbine models for aeroelastic calculations.
• Run simulations under diverse design conditions using aeroelastic codes such as BHawC.
• Develop mathematical models and approaches to improve modelling capabilities.
• Analyze wind turbine loads and dynamics to support optimal performance.
• Support design validation and collaborate on modelling physics.
• Research technologies for wind turbine design and validation.

Requirements

• Recently graduated or in the final stages of a Master's thesis or PhD in aeronautics, mechanical engineering, or structural engineering.
• Knowledge of aerodynamics, structural design, structural dynamics, or control systems.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Additional training in wind energy, including wind turbine aerodynamics and performance.
• Knowledge of wind turbine design standards such as IEC 61400-1 and DNVGL.
• Experience with wind turbine load analysis using GH Bladed, FLEX5, or FAST.
• Spanish language skills.
