Sr. Engineer (Electrical)

What you will do

• Develop detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for high-power inverters.
• Define specifications for interconnections, cable harnesses, connectors, terminals, and internal equipment wiring.
• Calculate conductor cross-sections, insulation types, routing, and components for high-current and high-voltage systems.
• Design cable routing in collaboration with mechanical engineering, separating power and signal cables to reduce electrical noise.
• Prepare cable lists, connection diagrams, crimping tables, terminal block diagrams, and electrical bills of materials.
• Ensure wiring and connections comply with electrical safety, insulation clearance, EMC, IEC, and UL requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Industrial Electronics.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken, is required.
• More than five years of experience creating electrical schematics and designing industrial wiring.
• Experience in power electronics, complex control cabinets, or capital equipment.
• Expert proficiency with EPLAN Electric P8 or comparable electrical design software.
• Strong knowledge of industrial interconnection components, conductor marking, and wiring standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with EPLAN Pro Panel, SolidWorks Electrical 3D, or Inventor Routed Systems.
• Experience with 3D cable routing in mechanical design environments.
