Electrical Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid remote options are available.

hirify.global develops demonstrators to evaluate, mature, and validate new aerospace products and services, including technologies for aircraft electrification.

What you will do

• Design and specify high-voltage test-bench equipment, including AC/DC power supplies, dynamic load banks, switching matrices, energy storage systems, and short-circuit injection systems.
• Design high-bandwidth, isolated data-acquisition hardware, sensors, and conditioning modules for high-voltage, high-current, and high-EMI environments.
• Prepare purchaser technical specifications, evaluate supplier proposals, and steer supplier milestones and deliverables.
• Support installation, verification, commissioning, functional validation, and entry into service of industrial power equipment and system-under-test interfaces.
• Contribute to electrical risk analysis, safety documentation, operational procedures, and compliance with electrical safety standards.
• Support the adaptation of high-voltage batteries, power converters, and electrical power distribution systems for research and technology test configurations.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in high-power electrical engineering, industrial power equipment specification, and electrical bench or system integration.
• Experience in aerospace, energy, or electric transportation sectors.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of high-power equipment up to the 1 MW class, including programmable AC/DC power sources, electronic loads, switching matrices, power converters, and power cyclers.
• Experience steering suppliers through manufacturing and acceptance phases, including technical specifications, proposal evaluation, and technical follow-up.
• Fluent English is mandatory; Spanish is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with batteries, electrical distribution units, converters, and power-measurement instrumentation.
• Exposure to mechanical mock-ups, cable routing, EMC, or control automation.
