Sr. Engineer (Mechanical Design)

What you will do

• Develop three-dimensional mechanical designs for inverters and electrical cabinets, including enclosures, chassis, support structures, ventilation ducts, and busbar mounting systems.
• Design equipment for efficient manufacturing and assembly while optimizing internal packaging and space usage.
• Perform computational fluid dynamics analyses to optimize heat sinks and cooling systems for critical electronic components.
• Conduct structural analyses to validate resistance to transportation stresses, earthquakes, impacts, and vibrations.
• Select aluminium, steel, and engineering plastics based on cost, weight, corrosion resistance, and dielectric properties.
• Apply DFMA and tolerance management to ensure manufacturability, assembly quality, and watertightness according to IP ratings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• More than 5 years of experience in mechanical design of capital goods, electrical cabinets, power electronics, or automotive products.
• Fluent Spanish and English, written and spoken, are required.
• Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Inventor.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, casting, plastic injection moulding, and machining.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams with electrical and software engineers, with strong attention to detail and an innovation focus.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or specialization in Thermal Simulation or Product Development.
• Experience with ANSYS Fluent, SolidWorks Simulation, or Autodesk CFD.
