Senior Accountant (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, United States

Salary: $132,000–$152,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Maintain cost accounting and accurate product cost data as hardware manufacturing scales.
• Identify control gaps, document accounting processes, support SOX readiness, and implement automation to improve the monthly close.
• Manage accounting for debt financing, leases under ASC 842, stock-based compensation under ASC 718, payroll, and capitalized software under ASC 350-40.
• Prepare special entries, legal and miscellaneous accruals, rebate accruals, and sales commission accruals under ASC 340-40.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual close packages, balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis, cash flow statements, and U.S. GAAP footnote disclosures.
• Support external audits and partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Treasury, FP&A, Engineering, and Product.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including monthly financial close experience.
• Experience with manufacturing accounting and consignment arrangements.
• Strong ERP proficiency, preferably NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to research and document technical accounting conclusions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with payroll accounting, capitalized software accounting, external audits, or SOX-readiness efforts.
• Public accounting experience and CPA qualification.
