Sr Buyer (Supply Chain)

Location: Permanent work location in The Woodlands, Texas, with some travel to the shop in Houston, Texas

What you will do

• Prepare contract documents, bidder lists, and requests for quotation; identify and qualify new suppliers.
• Purchase materials and services within estimates while meeting project schedule requirements.
• Evaluate bids and issue purchase orders for complex packages and commodities.
• Negotiate complex or high-value regional and international purchase orders and resolve vendor claims or disputes.
• Support estimating, project close-outs, cost forecasting, and procurement lifecycle activities.
• Provide leadership, training, and guidance to junior staff and serve as lead buyer for projects when required.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of relevant procurement or supply chain experience.
• Strong understanding of the full procurement lifecycle, supplier onboarding, commercial bid analysis, and project supply chain processes.
• Knowledge of government-funded projects and source restrictions, including AISA and BABA.
• Knowledge of ERP systems; JDE-E1 preferred.
• Intermediate Excel and Access skills.
• BA or BS in Supply Chain, Business, Technical or Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; EPC industry experience preferred.
