Purchasing Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; temporarily in Northeast San Antonio, then permanently at Brooks, 7515 Inner Circle Dr. The position is 100% in-office and does not offer remote work.

What you will do

• Supervise the end-to-end purchasing process and coordinate the assigned buyers.
• Oversee purchasing efficiency, compliance, department metrics, and KPIs.
• Interpret demand requirements and support strategic procurement decisions for switchgear programs.
• Analyze supply chain risks, develop mitigation plans, and present options to senior management.
• Evaluate vendor quality, delivery, pricing, and performance while building supplier relationships.
• Lead continuous improvement projects, resolve supply challenges and nonconformance issues, and improve material availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or operations management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Fundamental understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated career growth, increasing responsibility, and readiness for broader leadership roles.
• Ability to work 100% in-office in San Antonio, Texas.
