Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting and Billing Operations (SaaS)

Annual base salary: $150,509–$167,845 USD; Mountain View, California: $176,333–$199,070 USD

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end order-to-cash cycle, including deal booking, usage capture, invoicing, collections support, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable.
• Lead usage-based revenue recognition, including variable consideration, minimum commitments, overages, tiered pricing, true-ups, breakage, and ASC 606 documentation.
• Manage monthly and quarterly revenue close activities, reconciliations, revenue schedules, fluctuation analysis, and audit support.
• Design and deliver billing automation across product verticals while optimizing NetSuite, NetSuite ARM, Salesforce, Snowflake, Sigma, and the closing tool.
• Improve upstream data quality with Revenue Operations, Salesforce, and Data teams, including billing data pipelines, validation rules, reporting dimensions, and source-system controls.
• Manage and develop a team of three while owning revenue accounting and billing policy and supporting SOX and IPO readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, including at least 2 years managing accounting staff.
• Deep ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition expertise with hands-on experience in usage-based or consumption-based billing.
• Experience owning an end-to-end billing or order-to-cash process and delivering measurable accounting automation improvements.
• Advanced proficiency with NetSuite, NetSuite ARM, Salesforce, and Excel, including large datasets.
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot to improve accounting processes.

Nice to have

• CPA certification and Big 4 or comparable public accounting experience.
• Experience in a high-growth, pre-IPO, or newly public SaaS or technology company.
• SQL, data modeling, data warehouse or BI implementation experience, including Snowflake, BigQuery, Looker, or Tableau.
• SOX readiness, audit remediation, public-company controls, or Workiva experience.
