Material Control Technician (Defense Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Pueblo, Colorado, United States. Travel up to 5% within the continental United States may be required.

Salary: $22.00–$28.00 per hour base pay.

What you will do

• Move materials from receiving to warehouse storage and stage components and kits for production work centers.
• Pull materials against work orders and bills of materials, verifying quantities, lot numbers, and part numbers.
• Record material movements and inventory transactions accurately in NetSuite and maintain lot and serial traceability.
• Coordinate with receiving, quality, logistics, and production planning teams on inspection status, material handoffs, returns, and quarantines.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment while maintaining clean and compliant storage areas.
• Follow Division 1.1 explosives-handling protocols, PPE requirements, ATF, OSHA, and site safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old and eligible to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and state and federal background checks.
• Forklift certification is required or must be obtained upon hire; ability to operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand, walk, push, pull, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. export authorizations under ITAR and EAR.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense, aerospace, chemical, energetics, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of lot and serial traceability, AS9100 manufacturing, kitting, and production staging.
• NetSuite, ATF explosive-material storage, or OSHA 10 experience.
