Working Foreman - Line (Rubber Glover)

Location: Bedford, New Hampshire; must live within 30 minutes of the Area Work Center. Travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire may be required.

Salary: $65.64 per hour, plus incentive; salary is commensurate with experience.

Electric utility operations focused on the installation, maintenance, repair, and emergency restoration of underground and overhead distribution systems.

What you will do

• Supervise line crews performing installation, maintenance, and repairs on underground and overhead electric distribution systems.
• Coordinate work assignments and schedules while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Oversee equipment, materials, time sheets, tailboard documentation, truck inspections, and trailer inspections.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate line-workers, initiating additional training or corrective action when required.
• Provide first-response coverage for emergency trouble calls, investigate and clear faults, and coordinate staffing during high call volumes.
• Support emergency services and temporarily assume Field Supervisor-Lines or Supervisor-Distribution Lines responsibilities when needed.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of experience as a Line-worker I (RG 34.5); supervisory experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with education, training, and experience equivalent to a Line-worker I (RG 34.5).
• Working knowledge of electrical theory and company line work practices and policies.
• Ability to become certified as a rubber glover for 34.5 kV, climb and work on poles and structures, and perform physically demanding field work.
• Commercial Driver's License Class A with Special Trailer Endorsement and a safe driving record.
• Must meet standby coverage requirements, work emergency restoration assignments and overtime when needed, and be available for travel between MA, CT, and NH.
