Staff Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: USA-REMOTE

Base salary: $124,646–$168,272 per year; US on-target earnings are approximately $167,000–$227,000 with a 75/25 variable compensation split.

What you will do

• Design and prototype AI agent systems and agentic workflows that automate data governance and complex reasoning tasks.
• Work with enterprise stakeholders to understand data ecosystems and translate governance challenges into technical roadmaps using hirify.global’s Knowledge Layer.
• Build BI and ML pipelines that turn cataloged data into actionable insights and demonstrate deployment ROI.
• Partner with Deployment Strategists, Account Executives, Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to connect technical delivery with customer outcomes.
• Create reusable solution patterns, accelerators, and internal tooling to improve delivery consistency.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship while sharing customer patterns, edge cases, and AI use cases with Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including customer-facing technical work such as Solutions Engineering or Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks, AI tooling, orchestration patterns, vector databases, and RAG architectures.
• Experience delivering BI and data pipeline solutions with strong SQL skills.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Understanding of enterprise data governance, metadata management, and distributed systems architecture.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into working prototypes and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
