Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, Technology Lead (AI)

Location: Remote, United States; ability to travel to client sites as needed, expected 25–50%.

Salary: $220,000–$245,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead a five-person forward-deployed team delivering AI-powered operational transformations for health-system clients.
• Identify high-impact opportunities and design, execute, and optimize bespoke AI Operational Assistant workflows.
• Build conversational systems with LLMs, agentic frameworks, state machines, decision trees, and graph-based flows.
• Integrate AI agents with APIs, CRMs, enterprise systems, custom scripts, and external services.
• Monitor, test, troubleshoot, and improve agents using real user data, analytics, logging, unit tests, regression tests, and A/B tests.
• Partner with hirify.global R&D, architects, engineers, data scientists, client executives, operational teams, and IT stakeholders while mentoring forward-deployed teammates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a proven track record in product management or solution architecture.
• Hands-on experience with agentic design, prompt engineering, and AI architecture.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Expertise in emerging LLM technologies and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems independently.
• Strong communication, customer empathy, autonomy, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites 25–50% as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with voice-enabled conversational AI systems.
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, RAG, or knowledge graphs.
• Experience building AI agents or automated workflows in healthcare or other regulated industries.
• Background in healthcare operations, medicine, or healthcare finance.
