Technology Director (Web & Mobile)

Location: Remote, with a preferred base in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, and working hours aligned to ET.

Salary: $170,000–$220,000 CAD per year.

What you will do

• Provide strategic technology leadership as the primary client-facing technology lead on accounts and projects.
• Oversee software engineers and technical teams delivering high-quality web and mobile customer-facing solutions.
• Define high-level architectures and technology stacks for scalable, secure, high-performing, and SEO/GEO-optimized digital products.
• Use AI tools, platforms, and delivery practices to build content scaling, personalization, product finder, commerce, and agentic customer experiences.
• Champion composable platforms, data-driven optimization, and Lean and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Manage multidisciplinary delivery squads, client relationships, business growth, dependencies, and engagement risks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a technology leadership role building and scaling web and mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of software engineering, system architecture, project management, and modern web and mobile technologies.
• Experience delivering complex customer experience and e-commerce solutions involving personalization, A/B testing, webhooks, data streams, transactions, and performance optimization.
• Experience using AI tools, processes, and teams to accelerate software development while maintaining enterprise quality and security.
• Demonstrated ability to advise clients, manage vendors, make build-versus-buy recommendations, and contribute to executive-level strategic decisions.
• Experience mentoring large multidisciplinary teams and managing technical, staffing, scope, and client relationship risks.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-enabled commerce, agentic experiences, composable architectures, and digital experience platforms.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other AI provider partnerships.
