Engineering Director - Remote

Location: Remote within the United States; role associated with Santa Ana, California

Salary: $197,200–$263,000 annually

What you will do

• Define and execute the software engineering strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle and deliver scalable enterprise products on time and within budget.
• Guide architecture reviews, design decisions, performance work, deployments, operations, and software quality.
• Partner with Product, Design, QA, UX, business, and technology stakeholders to deliver customer-focused software.
• Implement and improve Agile, DevOps, and other engineering processes.
• Hire, retain, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams across multiple locations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience, including at least 8 years managing engineering teams.
• Strong skills in system architecture, design, performance metrics, code, testing, project planning, deployment, and operations.
• Demonstrated leadership, team-building, problem-solving, innovation, and business transformation experience.
• Experience delivering and supporting large-scale enterprise products and services.
• Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams.

Nice to have

• C# with .NET Core or .NET Framework, TypeScript, React, or Node.js experience.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience scaling teams and implementing software development best practices.
• Knowledge of security, privacy, AI, and compliance standards.
• Experience in financial services, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry.
