Senior Software Engineer, Events Platform (Go)

Location: United States; remote-hybrid work from the Boston office, home, or a mixture of both

Salary: $158,000–$190,000 annual target cash compensation, including base salary and bonus target.

What you will do

• Build internal developer platforms, shared services, APIs, and libraries for integrations and core platform capabilities.
• Design reliable backend systems for cross-domain business flows and operationally critical use cases.
• Partner with product, security, and engineering peers to turn ambiguous problems into high-quality deliverables.
• Own software quality through testing, observability, safe rollouts, and production issue investigation.
• Improve developer velocity and reduce operational toil through self-service capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production backend systems and APIs.
• Experience with Go and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Istio or another service mesh, Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, and CI/CD systems.
• Experience with workflow orchestration, event-driven architectures, streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, or Kinesis, and operational complexity.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
