CNC Machinist - Operator/Programmer (Weekend Night Shift)

Location: Pasadena, TX, USA; onsite weekend night shift, Friday through Sunday, 12 hours nightly.

What you will do

• Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes, mills, drills, and other numerically controlled machinery.
• Work from routings, technical drawings, sketches, layouts, and written or verbal instructions.
• Maintain machining quality and tolerances within .0003 inches.
• Preset and re-sharpen tools, adjust machine parameters, and adapt programs to different machines.
• Machine stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, exotic materials, and other materials.
• Inspect finished work with micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers, and other measuring instruments; complete maintenance, safety, and time reports.

Requirements

• Previous CNC machining experience is required.
• At least 3 years of CNC machine tool programming and operating experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent, technical school education, and working machinist knowledge or equivalent experience.
• Ability to operate at least two CNC machine tools, read machine drawings, perform mathematical calculations, and solve elementary technical problems.
• Previous manual machinist experience, attention to detail, independent judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good verbal, written, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
