Mid Software Engineer (DevSecOps)

Location: Onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado, US

Salary: $115,900–$173,800 per year for Colorado Springs, CO

What you will do

• Develop secure, end-to-end Kubernetes- and Docker-based cluster and application lifecycles.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, GitOps delivery workflows, and DevSecOps practices.
• Architect containerized and cloud-native applications with clients and internal teams.
• Automate security checks, deployments, and operational tasks using Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
• Use AWS and other cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, logging, analytics, and network security configurations.
• Support service mesh integration, version control, testing, and Agile delivery practices.

Requirements

• Secret clearance or above is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least five years of experience developing web-based applications and five years working with Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, Python, Bash, PowerShell, networking, GitLab, and CI/CD tools including GitLab CI and Argo CD.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other databases, log management, analytics, AWS services, Ansible, Maven, Gradle, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with integration testing, unit testing tools such as Vitest, Jest, Cypress, or Playwright, and test-driven development.

Nice to have

• Custom Helm chart development and Big Data experience.
• Experience with MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Power BI, Tableau, or Python data visualization.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Experience with Vue.js or Angular.
