Cloud Developer, Mid (AWS)

Location: Remote within the United States, with listed locations in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and Charlottesville, Virginia. Occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required.

Salary: $86,800–$198,000 annualized USD

What you will do

• Develop and operationalize cloud capabilities across secure environments.
• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Build, test, and deploy applications and infrastructure through CI/CD pipelines.
• Support cloud workloads through monitoring, logging, metrics configuration, incident response, and troubleshooting.
• Work with containerization, orchestration, networking, and cloud service broker capabilities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining systems in enterprise-scale secure environments using Linux and Microsoft platforms.
• 3+ years of DevOps and cloud engineering experience with IaC in AWS, Azure, and GCP, including hands-on GCP development.
• 3+ years of operational support experience and 2+ years using Go, Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD, networking fundamentals, Kubernetes or Docker, and Helm charts.
• Secret clearance required; ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification within 30 days of starting.
• High school diploma or GED with 8+ years of software engineering experience, or a bachelor's degree with 4+ years of software engineering experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with disaster recovery, cloud migration, GitLab, and automated DevSecOps pipeline processes.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
