What you will do

• Lead and direct technicians performing safe, efficient repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, chassis, and refuse bodies.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, braking, engine, drivetrain, suspension, steering, heating, and air-conditioning issues.
• Use electronic diagnostic tools to identify equipment malfunctions and perform repairs both on-site and on the road.
• Schedule repair work, minimize shop productivity losses, and provide coaching and mentoring to technicians.
• Inspect third-party repairs for compliance with safety procedures and federal and state regulations.
• Perform line-maintenance welding and fabrication and assume Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities when needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to independently inspect and repair heavy truck or automotive systems, including suspension, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, and diesel emissions.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with OSHA HazCom, lockout/tagout, and fire protection regulations is advantageous.
• Supervisory or lead technician experience is advantageous.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications T1–T8 and a Class B or higher commercial driver's license are advantageous.
