Lead Plant Maintenance Technician

Location: Santa Fe Springs, California, United States; regional travel to customer and plant sites is required.

Salary: $46.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Repair and maintain facilities, machinery, compressors, scrubbers, instrument panels, pumps, tanks, valves, piping, and electrical systems.
• Lead and support regional projects involving installation, extraction, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of bulk tanks, valves, and cryogenic pumps.
• Perform operational testing, train relevant personnel, and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using testing instruments, blueprints, P&IDs, manuals, and maintenance tracking systems.
• Perform welding, brazing, soldering, pipe fitting, fabrication, and mechanical repairs.
• Conduct plant inspections, uphold safety and regulatory requirements, operate material-handling equipment, and travel to regional sites.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience and education.
• Industrial experience with electrical circuits, motors, compressors, pumps, and drives.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Working knowledge of plant operations equipment, plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, facilities, machines, and equipment.
• Ability to understand technical procedures, governmental regulations, safety rules, MSDS, and equipment manuals.
• Ability to work at the Santa Fe Springs site and travel to regional locations.

Nice to have

• Brazing certificate or boiler license.
• Arc and gas welding experience, with at least two years of industry experience preferred.
• Experience with plumbing, carpentry, masonry, SAP, Microsoft Office, and maintenance reporting.
• Leadership, organization, communication, customer service, and collaboration skills.
