Safety Specialist I or II (T&D; Electrical Construction)

Location: Windham, New Hampshire; onsite at company-designated office or field locations, with travel to project worksites throughout the assigned area.

What you will do

• Conduct ongoing site visits, document safety behaviors and work conditions, and perform behavior-based safety observations and PPE hazard assessments.
• Coordinate site-specific safety plans, job hazard analyses, hazard recognition tools, project meetings, and client safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, occupational health and safety, and other applicable regulations.
• Coach and mentor field personnel and coordinate required orientations, refresher training, customer training, and post-incident training.
• Investigate accidents and injuries, perform root cause analyses, support incident case management, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Support safety committees by analyzing performance trends and improving safety processes and tools.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and industry-related safety regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Ability to travel to job sites for extended periods is required.

Nice to have

• Safety certification such as CSHO, CHST, SMS, SSH, or CSP.
• Undergraduate degree in Safety Management or a related field.
• Experience or education in lieu of the degree requirement.
