Superintendent — Electrical Mining Construction

Location: Haile Gold Mine, South Carolina, United States. Onsite surface mine plant work with 12-hour shift requirements.

What you will do

• Manage and oversee electrical construction for the leach plant circuit expansion, paste plant, and surface facilities supporting underground projects.
• Coordinate contractor electricians, subcontractors, engineers, inspectors, process equipment vendors, and mine operations.
• Plan electrical installations, review drawings and schematics, coordinate equipment deliveries, and align electrical work with civil and mechanical activities.
• Monitor construction quality, schedules, costs, progress records, change orders, and compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, coordinate incident investigations, and support the transition of completed projects into operations.
• Promote safe and environmentally responsible work practices while building an effective project culture.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a senior electrical construction role.
• Trade qualification or degree in engineering or a related discipline, such as electrical engineering.
• Experience with surface facilities in hard-rock mining, start-up projects, and operating environments.
• Knowledge of surface leach plants, paste plants, high-voltage overhead lines and substations, underground HV/LV infrastructure, ventilation fans, and electrical instrumentation.
• Strong planning, communication, troubleshooting, leadership, contractor-management, and relationship-building skills.
• MSHA 40-hour training or previous MSHA training; ability to work 12-hour shifts in a mine environment and use required personal protective equipment.
