High Voltage Electrical Maintenance Technician

What you will do

• Perform high-voltage switching, tagging, grounding, isolhirify.globalon, and restorhirify.globalon for equipment typically ranging from 600V to 25kV.
• Interpret single-line diagrams, schemhirify.globalcs, technical manuals, and switching orders.
• Write, review, and execute switching orders while coordinhirify.globalng with utility control centers, plant operhirify.globalons, and other switchmen.
• Install and verify grounds, lockout/tagout devices, and electrical safety equipment.
• Inspect substhirify.globalons, switchyards, and electrical infrastructure; monitor loads, equipment status, and alarms.
• Document switching activities, respond to abnormal conditions, and support troubleshooting, repairs, training, and emergency operhirify.globalons.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience; 3–5 years of high-voltage systems, switching operhirify.globalons, or substhirify.globalon maintenance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of high-voltage power systems, substhirify.globalons, transformers, breakers, and associated controls.
• Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, schemhirify.globalcs, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in lockout/tagout and electrical safety protocols, including OSHA and NFPA 70E.
• Ability to perform physical work including climbing, squatting, kneeling, lifting, and working around electrical hazards, extreme temperatures, noise, and inclement weather.

Nice to have

• Completed electrical apprenticeship or formal switchman training.
