Facilities Technician

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States. Temporarily based in Northeast San Antonio while the new manufacturing plant comes online; the permanent location is at Brooks, 7515 Inner Circle Dr., San Antonio. This is a 100% in-office position with no remote work.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, dock equipment, and life-safety systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building issues across three buildings.
• Respond to CMMS work orders and trouble calls, prioritizing safety-critical and production-impacting issues.
• Maintain electrical distribution components, support licensed electricians, and inspect dock doors, dock levelers, overhead doors, and related equipment.
• Complete facility inspections, building repairs, workspace reconfigurations, and seasonal grounds or weather-preparedness tasks.
• Maintain maintenance records and inventory information, coordinate on-site vendors, and participate in after-hours emergency coverage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade-school certification in facilities-related work is preferred.
• At least 2 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or multi-building commercial environments.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, with safe use of hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with CMMS or work-order systems and electronic maintenance documentation.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout, confined-space awareness, and industrial safety practices; OSHA 10/30 is a plus.
• Ability to work assigned first, second, or third shifts, provide on-call or weekend coverage, travel between buildings, and perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.

Nice to have

• Technical or trade-school certification in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and equipment manuals.
• OSHA 10/30 certification.
