Senior Electronic Technician (Automotive)

What you will do

• Perform advanced soldering and desoldering on through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components.
• Troubleshoot, test, diagnose, and repair embedded electronic and electromechanical systems.
• Design, assemble, and test electrical components for customer products, prototypes, and test systems.
• Support engineers with new designs and manage parts sourcing, ordering, and inventory.
• Coordinate interns and manage multiple technical assignments and priorities.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe laboratory operations, including request flows and work-order procedures.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience soldering and desoldering through-hole, SMT, wire harness, and microprocessor components.
• Strong experience troubleshooting, repairing, and testing electronic and electromechanical devices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to train junior technicians in soldering and desoldering techniques.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, phone, and email communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based systems and Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Tier 1 automotive industry experience.
• Experience with SAP or similar inventory and data management systems.
• Military 2M certification or equivalent civilian soldering certification.
