Senior Electronic Engineer (Embedded Systems)

What you will do

• Design and develop analog and digital electronic hardware for vacuum valve control.
• Debug and bring up real-time embedded electronics for microprocessor-based control and communication platforms.
• Design circuits involving low-noise analog systems, A/D and D/A converters, microprocessors, communication interfaces, and power supplies.
• Participate in DFMEA, design reviews, technical specification development, testing, and release to production.
• Perform customer failure analyses, create corrective action plans, and resolve component quality issues with vendors.
• Evaluate designs for performance, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and PCB fabrication requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• At least five years of relevant experience.
• Experience with hardware system engineering, schematic design, circuit analysis, PCB design, documentation, test plans, and production release.
• Experience integrating hardware with mechanical elements and embedded firmware.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; work visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, and other communication protocols.
• Experience with motion control systems using stepper and BLDC motors.
• Understanding of feedback control theory, including PID control and tuning.
