Engineering Technician III (Electronics)

Location: Onsite in Ladson, South Carolina, United States

Salary: $18.75–$20.00 per hour, plus Health and Welfare benefits of up to $4.93 per hour worked.

What you will do

• Perform engineering analysis and gather data from electronics equipment.
• Conduct testing, operate standard test equipment, modify test setups when needed, and record results.
• Support the design and development of new systems, components, subunits, and simple models.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents, technical drawings, layouts, and diagrams.
• Compile engineering data from field notes, manuals, laboratory reports, and operational records; identify inconsistencies and support design modifications.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, perform recurring work independently, and review completed work for technical adequacy.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to complete a government security investigation are required.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• Associate’s degree in engineering technology, math, or science plus five years of practical experience, including engineering document and drawing preparation or modification.
• Equivalent pathways include formal electronics training or a four-year electronics apprenticeship plus five years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus seven years of relevant experience.
• Experience with technical drawing tools and/or MBSE tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, customer service, organizational, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and meet competing deadlines.

Nice to have

• AAV maintenance experience within a Marine Corps AAV Battalion.
