Payables Processor

Location: Garden City, NY, USA; onsite

Salary: $27.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare and reconcile Account Current and Item Basis reports.
• Manage carrier payables and resolve balance discrepancies with carriers and underwriting teams.
• Process premium corrections, return premium funds, direct bill commission payables, and vendor invoices.
• Review and resolve outstanding checks aged 90 days or more.
• Maintain accurate financial records and provide coverage across accounting functions during absences.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
• One to three months of related experience or training may qualify.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional telephone manner and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Insurance experience.
