Lead, Accounts Payable

Location: West Los Angeles, California, USA; hybrid schedule with in-office work required Monday-Wednesday and remote work available Thursday-Friday.

Salary: $35.00-$38.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Lead daily accounts payable operations across multiple business units, including invoice processing, payment creation, payment distribution, and transaction monitoring.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and workload support to onsite and offshore accounts payable professionals without direct people-management responsibility.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor inquiries, account reconciliation items, and payment issues.
• Coordinate month-end close activities, escheatment reporting, 1099 reporting, reconciliations, and analytical reports for senior management.
• Work across Oracle, Concur, Inspyrus, Yardi, and other ERP or invoice-routing systems to monitor and resolve transactions.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and workflow enhancements with the Accounts Payable Manager and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in accounts payable, shared services, finance operations, or high-volume transaction processing.
• Strong understanding of invoice workflows, payment processing, vendor maintenance, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Proficiency with Oracle R12, Oracle Fusion, or a similar enterprise resource planning system preferred; knowledge of Concur, Inspyrus, and Yardi is advantageous.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, customer service, Microsoft Excel, data entry, and issue-resolution skills.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Power Automate.
