Senior IT Architect (Microsoft)

Location: Work from home; remote

Salary: $125,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential annual incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Shape solution architecture across application, integration, data, and infrastructure layers in a Microsoft-centric environment.
• Design secure, scalable, resilient systems using layered, domain-driven, event-driven, and service-oriented patterns.
• Write, review, optimize, and troubleshoot production code with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Web APIs, and related frameworks.
• Design Azure-based cloud solutions, APIs, messaging integrations, and SQL Server persistence strategies.
• Support legacy-system modernization, data conversion, large-scale migrations, and cloud-native or hybrid architectures.
• Document technical decisions, guide developers, and communicate architecture trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, system design, and application architecture.
• Extensive experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, Web APIs, service-based architectures, SQL Server, and relational data modeling.
• Experience acting as both an architect and hands-on senior developer for large, complex, enterprise-scale systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, APIs, messaging, software design principles, performance optimization, and high-complexity technical troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction through sound judgment.
