Senior Director, AI Development and Go to Market Strategy (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; travel is required to meet with communities, partners, and allies.

Salary: $168,827–$191,848 per year, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Lead the AI portfolio and guide the development, testing, deployment, and adoption of tools across more than 170 partner communities.
• Own the technical architecture and determine whether tools should be built in-house, developed with partners, or contracted out.
• Establish privacy-safe and local deployment approaches for tools that use sensitive client data.
• Manage technology and funding partnerships, corporate AI programs, accelerators, philanthropy opportunities, and external build relationships.
• Oversee community pilots, collect practitioner feedback, define scale strategies, and translate tools into accessible documentation and training.
• Direct AI-related work across the Principal of Policy and Evaluation, Data Scientist, and program manager, while developing the go-to-market budget for executive and board approval.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to build with current AI tools and ship working software across APIs, prototyping, and data work.
• Strong product judgment and experience deciding what is worth building.
• Experience managing external technology or funding partnerships.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving situations with a bias toward shipping.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with field users, technology partners, and funders.
• Commitment to the mission; familiarity with homelessness, human services, or data is useful but not required.

• Familiarity with model deployment, security, and compliance.
