DevOps Engineer

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work with in-person attendance 3 days a week. The role requires being within commuting distance of a hirify.global hub. Relocation support may be available for certain roles.

hirify.global is an intelligent platform for travel and spend management, automating travel bookings, expenses, invoice processing, and related business operations.

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and scale reliable cloud infrastructure in AWS.
• Develop platform infrastructure and tools that help product teams deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing services.
• Enable development teams to own their systems and deliver high-impact products.
• Partner with SRE and security teams to build resilient and secure applications.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident management under a “you build it, you run it” model.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience managing AWS systems, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Pulumi, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, containers, and orchestration, including Datadog, CloudWatch, Docker, or ECS.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python or Go.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed systems, plus excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• English is the official language at the office; the role requires working in person 3 days a week within commuting distance of a hub.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux environments, Windows systems, and .NET applications.
• Experience with serverless architectures and advanced cloud networking.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or other compliance frameworks.
