Director, Revenue Operations (SaaS)

Location: Irvine, CA, United States; onsite role

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end subscription billing, including invoicing, proration, contract changes, annual billing, and the order-to-cash workflow.
• Manage billing systems and integrations across Salesforce, Sage Intacct, TABS, and related platforms.
• Develop collections strategies, monitor DSO and aging metrics, manage disputes, and support cash flow forecasting.
• Oversee multi-state sales tax compliance, including nexus tracking, product taxability, exemptions, filings, and remittance.
• Drive billing automation, process improvements, internal controls, SOPs, and system implementations.
• Hire and develop billing, accounts receivable, and collections teams while partnering with Accounting, Finance, Sales, Legal, Implementation, and customer-facing functions.

Requirements

• 10–12 years of progressive billing and collections experience, including 5+ years leading corporate order-to-cash operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce, Zendesk, CRM and billing systems, automation, process improvement, and SOP development.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls in complex accounting environments.
• Experience managing and developing teams, preferably in a SaaS or technology-enabled business.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Irvine, California and sit for prolonged periods.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with software implementation, setup optimization, and billing platform upgrades.
• Experience with multi-state SaaS sales tax rules and platforms such as Avalara, Anrok, or Numeral.
