TL;DR
Senior/Lead Routine Maintenance Planner - Electrical (Electrical and Instrumentation): Planning and coordinating routine maintenance work for electrical and instrumentation equipment at an oil refinery with an accent on detailed job packages, materials procurement, safety compliance, and cost control. Focus on reviewing work notifications, coordinating Operations and Maintenance, reading electrical documentation, supporting troubleshooting, and leading backlog and work-quality improvements.
Location: Canton, Ohio, United States. Onsite schedule is Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:30 PM, with occasional after-hours assignments, extended turnaround hours, weekends, and holidays as required.

What you will do
- Support the electrical and instrumentation maintenance shop with troubleshooting and repair planning.
- Review work notifications and create accurate, authorized work orders with priorities, craft requirements, sequences, labor estimates, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Develop detailed work packages, procure materials, allocate resources, and coordinate rental equipment.
- Coordinate Operations, Maintenance, Area Teams, Project Controls, engineers, foremen, and outside vendors.
- Support backlog reviews, KPI improvement, cost forecasting, budget compliance, quality control, and work closeout.
- Lead, mentor, and coach fellow employees while supporting safety, process safety management, environmental compliance, MOC, and incident investigation processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least five years of experience required.
- Prior planning and coordination of electrical and instrumentation work is preferred.
- Hands-on industrial, petroleum, or chemical electrical and instrumentation experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook; SAP or other planning software experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs, equipment drawings, electrical one-lines, schematics, inspection testing documents, loop sheets, and instrument specification sheets.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Prior leadership, mentoring, and coaching experience.
