What you will do

• Support automation design from early concepts through detailed delivery across multiple data centre projects.
• Develop and maintain secure, scalable automation architectures and improve OT networking solutions.
• Review consultant designs, provide technical guidance and maintain automation standards aligned with emerging technologies and cybersecurity requirements.
• Develop and test PLC and SCADA code libraries and troubleshoot complex automation issues on live sites.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across EMEA to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and design deliverables.

Requirements

• Six or more years of experience in industrial automation, critical infrastructure, data centres, systems integration or engineering consultancy.
• Experience with SCADA platforms, PLC systems such as Rockwell ControlLogix or CompactLogix, industrial automation design and EPMS or power monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of industrial networking, including VLANs, routing, redundancy, industrial firewalls and Cisco, Stratix, Fortinet or Juniper technologies.
• Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles, including IEC 62443, and protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, MQTT and OPC.
• Experience with control system architectures, network diagrams, I/O lists, cable schedules, instrumentation documentation and control panel design.
• Strong communication, organisation, attention to detail and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Ignition SCADA experience.
• Cisco or Fortinet certifications such as CCNP or NSE.
• OT system architecture, VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation, and Windows or Linux server infrastructure.
• Cloud integration within OT environments.
• E-Plan or AutoCAD Electrical control panel design experience.
