Sr Failure Analysis Technician (Night Shift)

Location: Malta, New York, USA; onsite in the hirify.global 300mm fab. Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Salary: $48,200–$83,200 per year. A 12.5% night-shift differential applies.

What you will do

• Conduct routine analytical jobs using documented procedures while meeting cycle-time and quality expectations.
• Prepare samples for analysis, including TEM and SEM sample preparation, and perform imaging and other analytical techniques.
• Work with laboratory engineers and managers to define analytical methods and interpret results.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and help minimize equipment standby and idle time.
• Use standard software for analytical job management, reporting, and documentation.
• Identify improvement opportunities, train team members, and participate in continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Two-year technical or associate degree in science, mathematics, engineering, electrical engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or a related discipline, or equivalent military training.
• Two to three years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Ability to work a 12-hour night-shift schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM in the Malta, New York facility.
• Ability to follow laboratory safety procedures, detailed instructions, and documentation requirements with strong attention to detail and timeliness.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize activities.

Nice to have

• Semiconductor process knowledge.
• Experience with SEM, FIB, TEM sample preparation, or TEM imaging.
• Analytical laboratory experience in failure analysis, materials science, inorganic chemistry, or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Knowledge of failure-analysis methodologies used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
