Sr. Failure Analysis Technician (Semiconductor)

Location: Malta, New York, United States; onsite, 12-hour day shift

Salary: $48,200–$83,200 per year

What you will do

• Conduct routine analytical jobs using documented procedures while meeting cycle-time and quality standards.
• Prepare semiconductor samples, including SEM and TEM sample preparation, for subsequent analysis.
• Work with laboratory engineers and managers to define analytical methods and interpret results.
• Perform preventive maintenance and support reliable operation of analytical equipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve cycle time, equipment utilization, efficiency, and cost.
• Complete reporting and documentation, participate in continuous improvement, and train new team members.

Requirements

• Two-year technical or associate degree in science, mathematics, engineering, electrical engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or a related discipline, or equivalent military training or experience.
• Direct experience in an analytical laboratory, preferably in failure analysis, materials science, or inorganic chemistry.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Ability to work a 12-hour day-shift schedule onsite in Malta, New York.
• Ability to follow laboratory safety procedures, detailed instructions, and documentation requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, timeliness, teamwork, and work ethic.

Nice to have

• Semiconductor process or manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience with SEM, FIB, TEM sample preparation, or TEM imaging.
• Knowledge of failure-analysis methodologies used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
