Engineer II - Test (Semiconductor IC)

Location: Hauppauge, New York, United States; onsite

Annual base salary: $70,304–$143,000. Total compensation may also include restricted stock units and quarterly bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop pre-silicon characterization test plans based on product features.
• Develop test programs and design ATE boards for new and existing IC products.
• Debug test programs, execute characterization plans, and analyze silicon performance, yield, and device marginalities.
• Support R&D and Operations with manufacturability, quality-system compliance, and process improvements across fabrication, assembly, probe, final test, and supply chain.
• Conduct production yield analysis, root-cause investigations, customer-return analysis, and manufacturing and test-process enhancements.
• Design PCBs for IC environmental qualification and generate characterization, qualification, and yield reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of semiconductor IC development experience.
• Strong understanding of digital and analog circuits from transistor to system level.
• Hands-on ATE hardware and software development experience with platforms such as Diamond X, J750, or Uflex.
• Experience with silicon development, validation, qualification, and correlation methodologies.
• Advanced statistical data analysis skills, scripting experience with Perl, and familiarity with YieldHub.
• Experience with Git, SVN, or Perforce; Linux/Unix and Windows; bench laboratory equipment; and customer-facing technical issue resolution.
