Technical Recruiter (AI)

Location: On-site in New York City, United States; this is an in-person role based at the New York City headquarters.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year, with equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Build the talent function alongside the Head of Talent by designing and running recruiting processes, interview programs, targeted campaigns, and long-term talent pools.
• Own end-to-end recruiting strategies for frontier AI researchers, technical staff, and machine learning engineers.
• Partner with research and engineering leaders, hiring managers, and interviewers to define hiring needs, evaluate qualifications, and improve team matching.
• Use AI agents and other technologies for data-driven sourcing, automated outreach, scheduling, note-taking, and feedback collection.
• Manage the candidate experience, support candidate closing, and strengthen the hirify.global and Medal employer brands within technical and research communities.
• Attend and organize in-person talent events and develop experimental approaches to finding and engaging high-impact candidates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience supporting technical, AI, and/or research teams.
• Experience hiring frontier AI researchers, technical staff, and engineers working on areas such as LLMs, multimodal AI, or robotics.
• Strong technical aptitude across software engineering, data engineering, and machine learning qualifications.
• Ability and motivation to stay current with AI technologies and research communities.
• Existing network within the New York City technical and research community.
• Ability to work in person at the New York City headquarters.

Nice to have

• Experience building recruiting automation, sourcing analytics, or AI-assisted recruiting workflows.
• Creative and experimental recruiting approaches for reaching specialized technical talent.
