Power Systems Technician (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Yarmouth, MA / Waltham, MA, United States; onsite field engineering role with various shifts and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Salary: $45.25–$63.94 per hour.

What you will do

• Calibrate and test substation, network, distribution, and communication equipment.
• Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs.
• Carry out technical assignments related to the design, construction, operation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of equipment and structures.
• Direct and instruct assisting Power Systems Technicians.
• Coordinate work with internal departments, consultants, municipalities, manufacturers, customers, and contractors.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and productive work, including the proper availability, use, and return of tools, equipment, and materials.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is mandatory.
• Accuracy, initiative, judgment, originality, attention to detail, leadership, and planning skills.
• Ability to coordinate and direct individuals and groups performing engineering and technical work.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including corrective vision, normal color perception, hearing, and sense of smell.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain company qualifications to operate required vehicle classes.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring immigration-related sponsorship to start employment will not be considered.
