Solar Electrician

Salary: $37.02–$53.61 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect, repair, test, troubleshoot, install, remove, and maintain solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
• Read instruction manuals, blueprints, and control-system drawings and apply them to daily electrical work.
• Follow safety procedures to protect coworkers, the public, and personal safety.
• Complete work orders, calibration sheets, timecards, and material requests.
• Supervise and train apprentice electricians and coworkers in safe tool use and maintenance procedures.
• Provide occasional after-hours and weekend call-out support.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related experience.
• Current Massachusetts Journeyman's Certification required.
• At least two years of industrial solar electrical or electronic maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license in good standing issued by the state of residence.
• Knowledge of electricity and voltage/current relationships in AC and DC circuits.
• Ability to complete training and testing and perform physical work involving lifting, climbing, ladders, and extended standing or reaching.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Solar PV systems.
• OSHA training and certification.
