Senior Engineer, Design and Modeling (Additive Manufacturing)

Location: Remote within the United States; preference for candidates near the Loveland, Ohio or Englewood, Colorado facilities. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and evaluate turbomachinery components and assemblies for jet propulsion programs.
• Create 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stackups, drawings, and electronic data for analysis, manufacturing, and assembly.
• Perform reverse engineering from 3D scan data and build new parametric part models.
• Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, perform quality checks, and manage configuration-controlled technical data.
• Collaborate with design, performance, controls, and systems integration disciplines during design reviews.
• Research additive design technologies and help scale design capabilities toward future team leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Design.
• At least 6 years of experience designing gas turbine components.
• Strong experience with NX, SolidWorks, system-level CAD, parametric modeling, and PLM/PDM.
• Experience handling 3D scan data and creating parametric models from interpreted scan data.
• Experience with additive manufacturing and design-for-additive-manufacturing principles, plus expertise in GD&T.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
