Associate Product Design Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: New York, NY; in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Salary: $96,475–$113,500 annually

What you will do

• Support 3D CAD modeling and 2D engineering drawings for razor handles, cartridges, accessories, and assemblies.
• Apply tolerance analysis, FEA, and DFMEA to evaluate designs and reduce technical risk.
• Build and evaluate prototypes, develop test methods, and execute engineering tests against performance requirements.
• Collaborate with Industrial Design, Program Management, Quality Engineering, Hard Product Innovation, and Reliability Engineering from concept through launch.
• Create engineering specifications, design-for-manufacturing documentation, and design rationale.
• Develop expertise in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, materials, and consumer product development through hands-on work and mentorship.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software; SolidWorks is preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of GD&T and experience creating 2D engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with injection molding, die casting, CNC machining, or similar manufacturing processes.
• Mechanical aptitude, analytical and detail-oriented working style, ownership, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and complete design and engineering tasks independently.

Nice to have

• Exposure to tolerance analysis, FEA, DFMEA, or similar engineering analysis methods.
• Design portfolio.
