Associate Product Design Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: New York, NY; in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Salary: $96,475–$113,500 base salary per year

What you will do

• Develop 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for razor handles, cartridges, accessories, and related assemblies.
• Apply tolerance analysis, FEA, DFMEA, and other foundational engineering methods to evaluate designs and reduce technical risk.
• Build and evaluate prototypes, develop test methods, and execute engineering tests against performance requirements.
• Collaborate with Industrial Design, Program Management, Quality Engineering, Hard Product Innovation, and Reliability Engineering from concept through launch.
• Create and maintain specifications, DFM documentation, and design rationale.
• Build expertise in product design, manufacturing processes, materials, and consumer product development through hands-on work and mentorship.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software; SolidWorks is preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of GD&T and experience creating 2D engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with injection molding, die casting, CNC machining, or similar manufacturing processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical and detail-oriented approach, ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with tolerance analysis, FEA, or DFMEA is a plus; a design portfolio is optional.

Hiring process

• Reports to a Senior Product Design Engineer and joins the Hard Product NPI team within R&D.
