Software Engineer III (Java)

Location: Warsaw, Poland

Salary: PLN 200,000–308,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, unit test, deploy, and maintain new or modified software solutions.
• Lead projects, estimate work, support planning, and deliver within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support business analysts with requirements gathering and collaborate with customers.
• Participate in design discussions and provide input based on software design principles.
• Mentor junior engineers and report project status to project managers.
• Document project deliverables and technical solutions clearly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
• 4+ years of Java experience and familiarity with J2EE concepts.
• Strong knowledge of Hibernate, Spring, RDBMS, and SQL.
• Experience with software development, design, testing, maintenance, configuration management, and quality practices.
• Lottery systems domain knowledge and the ability to lead technical work and mentor junior engineers.
• Relevant industry certification, such as Java, J2EE, or IBM DB2, is expected.

Nice to have

• DB2, RESTful APIs, JBoss, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins, or Apache Camel experience.
• Frontend experience with JavaScript, AngularJS, and Jasmine.
• Experience with BDD, Gatling, Scala, SVN, Git, Eclipse, or IntelliJ IDEA.
